Senior/Principal Simulation and Modelling Engineer

Circa £55,000, Depending on Experience

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced engineer/physicist/mathematician to join a specialist team working on the modelling and simulation of complex air defence systems. You will focus on the development, integration and validation of numerical models that influence design and performance from early concepts through to in‑service use.

• Build and validate models using MATLAB and Simulink
• Work alongside system designers, software developers and external partners
• Support automation, testing and continuous integration processes
• Ensure coding standards, peer reviews and configuration management are followed
• Contribute to model reviews, technical documentation and cross‑functional collaboration

• Proven coding expertise, ideally in MATLAB, Simulink or similar
• Strong knowledge of dynamic systems and numerical modelling
• Experience with automated C/C++ code generation
• Familiarity with version control tools, e.g. Git, EWM
• Ability to engage effectively with internal teams and external partners
