What you’ll be doing- Provide hands‑on technical support to electronic design engineers, assisting with test, diagnostics, and fault‑finding activities across analogue, digital, RF, and optical technologies.
- Support the design and manufacture of cutting‑edge electronic subsystems — including missile computers, actuation systems, data links, telemetry systems, and seekers.
- Carry out testing, prototyping, qualification, trials, and acceptance activities in a state‑of‑the‑art lab environment.
- Work with oscilloscopes, waveform generators, data loggers, spectrum analysers, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Maintain accurate test documentation, contribute to data analysis, and support continuous improvement within production and development teams.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers and contribute to new product introduction and research programmes.
- HNC or equivalent qualification in an electrical or electronic discipline.
- Solid understanding of electronics fundamentals and applied mathematics.
- Practical experience with testing and fault‑finding in a lab or production environment.
- Competence in using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, waveform generators, and spectrum analysers.
- Strong organisational and record‑keeping skills with good attention to detail.
- Experience supporting production or prototype environments.
- Familiarity with analogue, digital, RF, and optical technologies.
- Understanding of design processes, kitting logistics, and prototype progression.
- Confident communication and report writing skills.
- Up to £2,500 company bonus (performance‑based)
