Head Office in Stevenage but the role is fully remote.
This role predominantly covers both paediatric and adult services.
Part Time, 24 hour per week
Rota: 9am 8pm Monday Friday

Main duties of the jobKey Responsibilities Will Include:
- The Clinical Director will support the SARC managers and multi-disciplinary staff to provide a safe, high quality forensic, medical, and psycho-social services to children and young people under 18 years attending Mountain Healthcare SARC services.
- Working closely with MHL Associate Medical Director and medical appraisers to ensure Paediatric Forensic Drs engage in regular appraisal and revalidation.
- Supporting the statement review process for Paediatric Forensic Drs and Forensic Nurses undertaking examination in children aged under 18 years old.
- The Clinical Director will provide advice for case management for children and young people, attending MHL SARC services. This may include supporting daily case review.
- Supporting Paediatric SARC governance activities aligned with CQC compliance and other national standards.
- Share best practice and drive improvements in care especially in relation to complex case management and safeguarding in children and young people
- Develop Forensic strategies according to FFLM guidelines.
- Actively working in partnership with external MDTs and Police.
- Point of contact for Police and Social Services to discuss referral pathways.
- Undertaking holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding.
- Supporting the continued quality improvement of the service.
- Working under the Forensic Science Regulator requirements.
- Obtaining consent for Health and Forensic procedures

Jobresponsibilities
As part of the Forensic Medical Programme, Mountain Healthcare has developed a framework to develop key areas of knowledge and skills which will be invaluable in all specialties, especially A&E, GP, paediatrics, psychiatry and of course, Forensic and Sexual Offence Medicine
The Clinical Director role will be a national role and the appointed individual will be expected to provide clinical advice and support quality assurance activities for children under 18 years attending a Mountain Healthcare SARC service. This may include statement support and peer review for these cases. The Clinical Director will be expected to undertake a leadership role within the safeguarding team for Mountain Healthcare.
In addition, the role will include working within the Paediatric SARC services undertaking paediatric child sexual abuse assessments. In addition, the Clinical Director will also be expected to support with clinical decisions and safeguarding and advise on quality improvement initiatives for children and young people attending MH custodial healthcare services.
