Location:

Near Stevenage / Hitchin

· £40,000 – £50,000 per annum (Day Shift)

We are looking for a Production Team Leader to join a growing team specialising in the design and manufacture of custom materials for highly regulated industries. This is a key leadership role, responsible for managing and developing a production team across fitting and paint operations within a busy manufacturing environment.

This division is expanding rapidly and places strong emphasis on teamwork, continuous improvement, and long-term career development. You will play a critical role in ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.

Essential Requirements /

Experience:

· Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment

· Experience managing and motivating teams (circa 12 people, with further growth planned)

· Strong manufacturing background

· Ability to lead by example in a hands-on, shop-floor-focused role

· Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

· Aerospace manufacturing experience

· Knowledge or exposure to Lean / Continuous Improvement principles

The Role:

· Lead, supervise, and develop a production team across fitting and paint operations

· Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are achieved

· Support recruitment and onboarding as the team continues to grow

· Drive continuous improvement and efficiency on the shop floor

· Act as a key link between production, engineering, and management
