Position: Democratic Support Officer (Part-Time) 101656 -

Stirling Council as a whole, and the Governance Service in particular, has embarked on an exciting transformation programme to best place the Council to meet the needs of its citizens.

We are looking for a support officer to join the Democratic Team. The successful applicant's principal duty will be to provide personal assistant (PA) support to the elected members that make up the administration for Stirling Council. You may be asked to carry out the other duties detailed in the job description when required.

This post is a job share and the days of work will be Monday (9am - 5pm), Tuesday (9am - 5pm) and Wednesday (9.30am - 1.30pm).

Communication skills, organisational skills and political awareness are essential

This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking their first role working in local government, or for candidates who are looking for a change in the direction of their career. This role is primarily office-based and the post holder will be required to work flexibly, including out of hours and weekends as required.
