Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure a high standard of service delivery in the establishment.
- Act as the first point of contact for resolution of Premises users’ queries.
- Along with the Head Janitor, maintain decoration, fabric and landscaping condition standards and complete all Janitorial reactive work in a timely manner to meet SLAs and comply with Company Policy.
- Coordinate with the Head Janitor to ensure proper service delivery and well‑coordinated work.
- Assist in delivering Janitorial PPM, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and on time.
- Implement the IMS T2 procedures within the School in compliance with Company Policy.
- Assist in delivering a Monthly Report to the Janitorial Supervisor that meets the requirements of the Inverclyde Project Monthly Operations Report.
- Monitor subcontractor quality, including cleaning, and inform the Head Janitor of any issues.
- Secure premises and contents: check windows, doors and perimeter fences; conduct inspections and monitor CCTV as required; operate site security systems; cover in‑call duties for intruder and fire alarms and provide reception cover for out‑of‑hours lets.
- Inspect property and carry out maintenance actions: keep indoor and outdoor areas litter‑free, transport rubbish, undertake emergency cleaning, conduct premises inspections as per PPM schedule, manage joinery (erecting, repairs), plumbing (replacing fittings, bleeding radiators), electrical (replacing lamps, cleaning diffusers), and painting tasks.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, follow induction procedures, monitor energy usage, and support other posts as workload requires.
- Previous experience in the service or construction industry desirable.
- Driving licence advantageous; may be required for work at other schools.
