Key Highlights of this Role- Perform tire service and maintenance for mining vehicles, including dismounting, mounting, balancing, and repairing tires, ensuring they meet safety and load requirements.
- Operate heavy‑duty tire servicing equipment and tools, demonstrating expertise in maintaining and repairing mining tire equipment.
- Work in close collaboration with mine maintenance staff, ensuring operational efficiency while adhering to Kal Tire’s safety protocols.
- Ensure tire inspections and maintenance programs are consistently performed on‑site, maintaining the highest service standards.

- Perform dismounting, mounting, balancing, and repairing of tires for mining vehicles.
- Ensure tires are mounted and repaired safely, following load requirements and safety standards.
- Conduct tire inspections, equipment checks, and maintenance tasks.
- Assist mine maintenance staff as required, supporting their operations with timely tire services.
- Maintain an orderly and safe work environment, ensuring that tire service equipment and tools are properly maintained.
- Assist in maintaining stock for tire‑related equipment and ensure the warehouse is clean and organized.
- Comply with all site safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Report hazards and unsafe conditions to your Supervisor or Lead Hand.
- Always use and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols.
- Participate in safety meetings and contribute to improving safety practices on site.
- At least two years of experience as a tire technician in a related field, preferably within the mining sector.
- Experience with Komatsu haul trucks and Giant loaders with protection chains is highly preferred.
- Ability to operate and maintain tire manipulators, forklifts, and service trucks.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks safely in a mining environment.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to comply with relevant insurance policies.
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications and training are preferred.
