Location - Stockport

Our client is a Tier 1 contractor looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a reservoir project in Stockport initially for a 6 months contract.

• The main purpose for a Senior Quantity Surveyor is to achieve maximum recovery and cash flow whilst also developing and maintaining excellent relationships with the client.
• Looking at the detail of all costs and keeping them to a minimum whilst maintaining excellent relationships with the supply chain - subcontractors, suppliers.
• Being the key commercial contact on site to help support, advice and develop all members of staff on both commercial and contractual matters.
• Highlight any risks identified to the project manager / senior surveyor and discuss and implement resolutions to mitigate risks.
• Sub-Contract Management, Main Contract Management, Contract Performance Reporting and Cost Controls

• Extensive experience of working on NEC3 form of contract
• Experience of working on civils projects
• Experience in a Senior QS role previously
• QS degree (or equivalent)
• An excellent team player, demonstrating the ability to liaise with all levels of staff, contracts, clients and contacts
