Mechanical Design Engineer

Due to big investment, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work with a Global Leader in Defence to work in the heavy engineering sector in Stockport!

Key Responsibilities:

Develop design solutions in collaboration with the engineering team.
Check and verify technical drawings and specifications.
Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including reports and manuals.
Conduct hardware development and testing to ensure quality standards.
Act as a representative at customer review meetings, liaising with suppliers.
The ideal candidate for the Mechanical Design Engineer position will possess:

A degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Proven experience in the design and development of mechanical systems.
Strong understanding of large welded and bolted structures.
Experience leading projects from concept to production.
In return you'll receive a salary up to £50k, a pension of 7% provided by the client and 25 days holidays + Bank Holidays.
