Danielle Ward Recruitment is a specialist recruitment agency with a strong reputation for placing top talent into head office roles within the fashion, textiles, homewares and lifestyle sectors. We partner with retailers, suppliers, and brands to provide a high-quality, tailored recruitment service.

We are currently looking for a proactive, people-focused Assistant Recruitment Consultant to join our friendly team in the office full-time. Whether you have some experience in recruitment or someone from the fashion / lifestyle / textiles industry looking for a career change, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaising with clients to take job briefs and gain a thorough understanding of what they’re looking for
  • Writing engaging job descriptions and advertising roles online
  • Sourcing candidates via job boards and our internal database
  • Conducting interviews to assess candidate suitability
  • Matching candidates to relevant roles and thinking ahead for future opportunities
  • Sending candidate details to clients in a clear and professional manner
  • Following up with clients for feedback and chasing updates where needed
  • Arranging and coordinating interviews between clients and candidates
  • Preparing candidates for interviews and supporting them throughout the process
  • Managing offers and post-placement follow-up with candidates and clients
  • Thinking creatively and strategically when sourcing candidates
  • Following up on leads and proactively identifying potential new vacancies with clients
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with both clients and candidates
Skills & Experience
  • Previous recruitment experience is desirable but not essential
  • If not from a recruitment background, previous experience in fashion, textiles, homewares or a related head office environment is essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence speaking to people at all levels
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills
  • Proactive and driven – not afraid to follow up or chase where needed
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically when matching candidates to roles
  • Good memory and organisational skills – able to track strong candidates for future roles
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Confident using Microsoft Word
  • Experience with CRM systems is a bonus
  • Passion for the fashion, lifestyle or homewares industries
