Site Operative (School Caretaker)

Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Hours: 15 hours per week (split shift - morning and afternoon)

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Site Operative (School Caretaker) to support the day-to-day running of a school site in Stockton. This role is ideal for someone with previous school caretaking experience who takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the school premises are safe, secure, and well maintained at all times
• Carry out general repairs, maintenance, and site management duties
• Support and monitor health and safety compliance across the school site
• Open and close the school building
• Manage tasks independently and respond to site issues as they arise
• Some Cleaning duties

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working as a school caretaker or site operative
• Good knowledge of school site operations and health & safety procedures
• Hold a valid Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to purchase one
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and be dependable
• Driving licence with access to a car

This is a part-time, split-shift role, working mornings and afternoons, totalling 15 hours per week.
