Electrical Technician

Location: Stoke-On-Trent

Electrical Technician Energy from Waste c £40,000 Kirkcaldy, Scotland MC Technical Recruitment are partnered with a leading provider of energy from waste solutions for the recruitment of an electromechanical technician at their Energy from Waste plant near Kirkcaldy, Scotland. You will work Monday to Friday, days. We are actively seeking to recruit an experienced Electrically qualified Technician, to support a team of operators & technicians in carrying out planned & preventative maintenance across the power generation facility.

As the Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for:
Carry out planned & reactive maintenance on process plant Investigating & rectifying electrical faults to minimise plant downtime Supporting the operations team in daily maintenance activities Responding to breakdowns to ensure continuous operations Recommend plant spares & repairs to Maintenance manager Assist the maintenance manager with statutory inspections Liaise with operations team regarding fault finding & modification to process equipment Working on a days basis to support operations across the site To be considered for this role you should have: NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with 17th or 18th Edition Proven experience in EfW or relevant sector (Biomass / CCGT / energy from waste / Water) Competency in three-phase and single-phase power, control circuits and equipment fault finding

Experience of carrying out maintenance on Heavy Industrial Engineering process equipment such as steam boilers, turbines, pumps, water treatment plant & conveyors Knowledge of all Health, Safety & Environmental legislation This is a permanent position; due to the location of the plant you will need a full UK driving licence to access the site.
