We are open to speaking with ideally Principal or Senior Overhead Line Design Engineers to explore future opportunities in line with our growth strategy. Roles will be based in any of our UK offices.

As an Overhead Line Design Engineer within our team you will be involved in the delivery of a wide range of OHL projects – producing and reviewing technical documents in line with industry standards. It is a varied role that will see you involved in the development of design criteria, conductor selection, structure type selection, insulation coordination and lightning performance.

You will be involved in the development of typical OHL design deliverables – including line schedules, plan/profile drawings, staking tables and special crossings design. You will conduct feasibility studies to assess the technical and economic viability of proposed projects and coordinate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., civil, structural) to ensure the overall integrity of the project.

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• CEng, IEng registration or working towards registration would be beneficial.
• Experience as an Overhead Line Design Engineer or similar role working on various T&D projects.
• Experience in using PLS-CADD for new OHL designs and modifications to existing designs.
• Experience with UK design requirements.
• Strong understanding of complementary T&D disciplines (HV Plant design, HV Cable design, T&D Civil design).
• Experience developing OHL deliverables and managing multiple projects.
