Mixed Tax or Personal Tax Senior Trent

Well regarded long standing independent firm is looking for a new tax hire. You will need a background in UK mixed or personal tax. As Tax Senior, you will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, from sole traders, property investors to simple directors of owner managed businesses, with the opportunity to work with larger more complex clients.

• Processing self-assessment and personal tax returns efficiently and accurately.
• Preparing and completing P11D forms.
• Communicating with colleagues from other departments, clients, and HMRC by telephone, email, and in writing where required.
• Ad-hoc assistance with tax queries and projects.

• CTA qualification (or be nearing qualification).
• Proven experience within an accountancy practice, with the ability to manage client relationships independently.
• Strong technical expertise in personal tax and capital allowances for sole traders and partnerships.
• Sound tax advisory knowledge. Owner managed businesses and families covering IHT, CGT, Income Tax and Company Tax issues is desirable but not essential.
• Experience of corporate restructuring desirable but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency in self-assessment software essential.
