We are seeking a talented finance professional to lead an established financial operation. This is a key position, offering a rare opportunity to combine strategic leadership with hands-on finance management in a dynamic environment.
The Role:
The Head of Finance will oversee the daily running of the Finance office and it’s end-to-end responsibilities, including cashflow management, forecasting, budgeting, VAT returns, overseeing payroll and pensions, and preparing the monthly and quarterly Management Accounts.
Duties and
Responsibilities include:
* Provide financial advice and direction to Senior Leadership Team
* Line Management of exiting finance team - lead, mentor, and develop the team to build a high-performing function that supports the business’ growth objectives
* Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting
* Ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and governance across the business
* Oversee monthly payroll, dealing with queries, pensions, maternity, sickness etc.
* Production of management accounts
* Drive commercial decision-making through insightful financial analysis, KPIs, and performance metrics
* Identify and manage financial risks, ensuring the business remains robust and agile during its growth phase
Qualifications and
Experience:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, or ACCA) or equivalent
* Previous experience in a finance/accounting leadership role is key
* Confident in producing management accounts and leading on financial processes
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and manipulate large volumes of data with high levels of accuracy
* Strong communication skills, able to build good relationships across all areas of the business
* Comfortable with both big-picture planning and day to day delivery
* Pro-active in looking for opportunities to drive improvements
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the capability to interpret data
* Ability to make recommendations and drive improvements
