Stoke on Trent – Hybrid working. Typically working 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday. Join our Finance team as a Finance Analyst, supporting accounting and business partnering activities. You’ll produce and maintain accurate budget and forecast models, deliver insightful analysis and reporting, and coordinate statutory obligations. • Annual budgeting: lead the preparation and coordination of the annual budget cycle, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Forecasting: produce and update monthly forecasts, incorporating business performance trends and stakeholder input to support agile decision‑making.
• Cash‑flow management: maintain and refine daily and monthly cash‑flow models to monitor liquidity, anticipate variances, and provide proactive recommendations.

• Data visualisation: design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards to present financial insights clearly and support data‑driven decisions.
• Performance analysis: deliver working‑capital updates, including detailed analysis of working‑capital days, and monitor fleet spend to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Business reporting: produce routine financial reports and respond promptly to ad‑hoc requests from accountants, business partners, and senior stakeholders, ensuring clarity and timeliness.

• Compliance submissions: prepare and coordinate statutory reports including Gender Pay Gap analysis, Payment Practices reporting, SECR, and ONS returns.
• Accuracy & governance: ensure all submissions meet regulatory requirements and deadlines, maintaining robust documentation and audit trails.

You will bring experience in financial planning and analysis, with strong attention to detail and commercial acumen. Advanced Excel skills are essential, and Power BI knowledge is a plus. Part‑qualification in ACA/ACCA/CIMA will support you in this role. Strong communication skills and confidence to present findings are also required.
