Castlefield Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a progressive public sector organisation who are looking to identify a Lead Financial Accountant to join their Corporate Finance Team on a permanent basis.

The Lead Financial Accountant will work closely with the Head of Finance and will be responsible for providing high quality financial and corporate accounting services.

• Act as the technical accountancy lead supporting the Head of Finance
• Lead on the core aspects of the organisation's accountancy functions, including statement of accounts production, closedown and budget setting processes
• Lead on the production of financial reporting to officers and members
• Work with key stakeholders to ensure a robust financial control environment and that financial risk is understood
• Identify and implement financial control improvements
• Manage and develop the Finance team

• CCAB/CIMA qualified Finance professional with post‑qualification experience and evidence of continuing personal development
• Public sector finance experience
