We are seeking a Salon Operations & Community Manager to join our vibrant team on-site. This role involves managing daily salon operations, coordinating staff schedules, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a welcoming environment. The Manager will also oversee inventory management, liaise with product suppliers, and lead community engagement efforts. Building and nurturing client relationships will be a key part of this role, along with supporting marketing initiatives and fostering a strong sense of team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities Events & Community- Planning and organising salon events (e.g. Sip & Skin, Sip & Self-Care)
- Creating events for specific audiences (business women, women with PCOS, wellness-focused groups, etc.)
- Community outreach to connect the salon with local events, organisations, and networks
- Managing chair and room rentals and maintaining positive relationships with renters
- Ensuring the salon is clean, organised, and stocked at all times
- Monitoring stock levels and placing orders when required
- Managing client enquiries across Fresha, salon bookings, phone calls, mobile bookings, and walk-ins
- Handling general client queries with professionalism and warmth
- Supporting a seamless, luxury client journey from enquiry to aftercare
- Managing social media and Whats App broadcasts
- Planning and posting content across Instagram, Tik Tok, and You Tube Shorts
- Supporting promotions, launches, and event marketing
- Managing and promoting special offers
- Supporting product sales and product displays
- Assisting with product selection and management, including retail and hair extensions
- Highly organised and proactive
- Confident communicating with clients, suppliers, and renters
- Comfortable using booking systems (Fresha experience is a bonus)
- Social‑media savvy with a good eye for branding and content
- Happy to be present in the salon during opening hours
- Passionate about beauty, wellness, and community-led businesses
- Knowledgeable about hair and beauty services and products
- Confident leading activities, solving problems and multi-tasking
Experience in salon management, spa management, hospitality, events, or customer experience is desirable, but attitude and initiative matter just as much. Being a qualified hair and/or beauty professional is desirable but not essential.
