Advanced Clinical Practitioner

Overview

Position:
Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Band 8a) in the Renal service at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. Duties cover Haemodialysis centre at RSUH, two satellite units in Staffordshire and Cheshire, and a 32-bedded inpatient renal ward. Hours of duty: 37.5 hours per week across three sites.

• Deliver renal care support across Haemodialysis, Peritoneal dialysis, inpatient ward and acute referrals.
• Participate in rotation across all modalities, including triage of acute referrals.
• Enhance clinical skills with line insertions following training.
• Provide health assessment, non‑medical prescribing and support the allocated nurse‑led clinic.

• Experience in Haemodialysis and Peritoneal dialysis.
• Knowledge of renal nursing clinical pathways.
• Ability to perform line insertions after appropriate training.
• Competence in health assessment and non‑medical prescribing.
