Overview

BANK - Advanced Practitioner Ultrasound role at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust. Sessional basis - £44 per hour. Flexible hours / sessions available, 7 days a week between 8:30 am and 8:00 pm (Royal Stoke / County Stafford / Haywood Community Hospital).

We are looking to recruit highly motivated, dynamic and professional individuals to join our well established bank of Advanced Practitioner Sonographers.

• Perform ultrasound examinations across a general and obstetric scope as appropriate to the role
• General Medical: upper abdominal / KUB
• Small parts: testes / head and neck
• Gynaecology (Gynae)
• Vascular imaging
• Lower limb vein scanning for DVT / carotid scanning
• Contribute to a seven-day service, including bank holidays, on a rotational basis
• Maintain effective communication and organisational skills to deliver an efficient and quality service
• Support the Ultrasound department which provides obstetric and general medical scanning across multiple sites

• Case-accredited PgC, PgD or MSc in non-obstetric ultrasound
• Broad experience of working independently within the NHS
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

The Ultrasound department provides obstetric and general medical scanning services, supported operationally from Royal Stoke. Services are provided from multiple sites, including Royal Stoke and County Hospital, with additional community units. UHNM aims to deliver a modern, seven-day service and offers development packages to support staff.
