Main duties of the jobMain Duties
- Take overall responsibility for the management and leadership of the Sleep Physiology Service, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations and the achievement of key performance targets such as DM01 and RTT.
- Shape the strategic direction of the service, working proactively to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Lead on recruitment and workforce planning, allocate tasks effectively within the team, and maintain robust quality assurance processes to uphold the highest standards.
- Provide advanced clinical expertise and guidance, particularly in the diagnosis and management of obstructive sleep apnoea, supporting clinicians to deliver outstanding patient care.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Respiratory & Sleep Physiology and the Clinical Lead, offering professional advice, fostering a positive team culture, and promoting the sharing of best practice.
- Support senior management in delivering a cost‑effective, high‑quality service, contributing to strategic planning and ensuring resources are used efficiently for the benefit of both patients and staff.
- Commit to ongoing professional development by maintaining your own clinical practice, engaging in continuous learning, and driving service improvement initiatives.
