HR Manager

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

We are recruiting for an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead the HR function within a well-established manufacturing business. This newly created role offers the chance to build HR systems, processes, and culture from the ground up.

This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys supporting managers, driving engagement, and shaping a positive workplace in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead performance management, appraisals, and employee development

Manage attendance, absence, and employee relations

Maintain HR compliance, policies, and employee records

Support recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning

Promote engagement, wellbeing, and positive culture

Requirements:

Proven HR experience, ideally in manufacturing/industrial environments

Strong knowledge of UK employment law

Confident managing performance, absence, and conduct issues

CIPD Level 5 or above (or working towards) desirable
