Hydra-Line is a growing hydraulic services company specialising in mobile hydraulic hose replacement, hose assembly, and on‑site hydraulic support for industrial, construction, transport, agricultural, plant equipment and more.
Since 2013 we have operated a mobile breakdown service alongside a trade counter and hydraulic cylinder workshop facility, supplying hoses, fittings, and hydraulic components to both trade and commercial customers. Our focus is reliability, correct specification, and long‑term customer relationships — not just emergency call‑outs.
As the business continues to grow and professionalise, we are expanding our engineering team and building a structured, well‑supported working environment.
The RoleWe are looking for a Hydraulic Hose Technician to join our team, working primarily in a mobile role responding to breakdowns, carrying out hose replacements, and supporting customers on‑site. You will be responsible for diagnosing hydraulic failures, manufacturing replacement hose assemblies, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This role suits someone who is practical, dependable, and experienced in hydraulic work, and who takes pride in doing the job properly.
Key Responsibilities- Mobile hydraulic hose replacement and breakdown response
- Hose assembly using crimping equipment
- Out of hours breakdown cover
- Identification and correct specification of hoses, fittings, and adaptors
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
- Completing job sheets and basic documentation accurately
- Communicating clearly with customers on‑site
- Supporting workshop and trade counter operations when required
- Previous experience in hydraulic engineering
- Ability to identify hoses, fittings, and thread types
- Confident working independently on‑site
- Good mechanical understanding
- Full UK driving licence
- Health & Safety awareness (RAMS, site work, PPE)
- Reliable and punctual
- Good problem‑solving skills
- Professional attitude with customers
- Willingness to learn and adapt as the business grows
