About the roleOur Tesco colleague rate starts from £12.45 an hour (up to £13.66 for stores within the M25). Additional payments may apply depending on location. A minimum of 16 guaranteed hours is offered; 12‑hour shifts are also available.

Key responsibilities- Provide excellent natural service to customers, giving great product knowledge and pride.
- Work across the store, including picking and replenishment areas as required.
- Apply training to work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
- Make customer‑centric decisions and deliver store routines.
- Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
- Maintain product quality, ensuring items reach customers in the best condition.
- Support store performance, driving service and sales while reducing waste and shrinkage.
- Accept deliveries into the store when required.
- Passion for delivering great service, greeting customers with a smile.
- Ability to build rapport, ensuring customers leave with a great shopping trip.
- Initiative to make decisions that are right for our customers.
- Strong teamwork and open communication.
- Reliability: be on time, well presented and ready as a brand ambassador.
- Over 18 (required answer to age question).
- Holiday: 20 days + 1 personal day rising to 22 days after 12 months plus bank holidays.
