Equans is looking for a CCTV Control Room Operator to join our team in the National Operations Centre, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire ST4 1AY
on a permanent basis. This is a full‑time role working 42 hours per week, with an annual salary of £27,594.08 and benefits package.
24/7 shift pattern – 4 days , 4 days off, 4 nights , 4 days off.
What will you deliver?Perform a key role in all aspects of the National Operations Centre, managing site alarm activations, including CCTV verification and facilitating appropriate escalation. When required, respond appropriately to requests through the Facilities Management Helpdesk and QSE Incident Reporting Hotline.

- Previous experience within a Control Room, Service Desk or other high‑call‑volume environment, or experience in a customer‑focused environment.
- Maths and English GCSE Grade C and above.
- Excellent working knowledge of IT, including Microsoft Office 365 suite (MS Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, Word).
- Experience contributing to incident management / command and control operations.
- Previous security or service desk experience and training in fire safety and first aid.
- Previous CCTV & access control knowledge and understanding of CCTV operations and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, written and spoken English. Ability to maintain accurate incident logs and gather evidential information.
- SIA licensed for Public Space Surveillance (PSS CCTV operations) or willingness to be trained to achieve SIA licence requirements.
