Applications are invited for the role of Social Work Assistant either in a Children’s Duty & Assessment Team or Safeguarding & Support Team.
Responsibilities- Work alongside a small group of social workers and deliver support and safeguarding services to children and their birth families.
- Engage face‑to‑face with children aged 0 to 18, provide creative, empathetic and effective communication.
- Assist with evidence‑based assessments and interventions for children and families.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to design and deliver comprehensive interventions that assess and manage risk, improve outcomes, and build resilience within families.
- Receive regular supervision and access learning and development services.
Creative, empathetic, strong communicator, excellent social interaction skills, and ability to work in a varied, dynamic environment.
Additional InformationWe are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. This position is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and will require a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
