Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Lead Engineer – Seating to be based in Gaydon.

Location:

Gaydon, United Kingdom

• Design, develop, and deliver complete seating systems across multiple vehicle programs.
• Ensure integration with vehicle architecture, occupant packaging, and restraint systems.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Studio Design, Safety, Ergonomics, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
• Manage technical discussions with Tier‑1 suppliers, ensuring alignment on design, tooling, and delivery.
• Ensure seating systems meet crash safety, comfort, durability, NVH, and regulatory requirements.
• Validate compliance with global standards (FMVSS, ECE, ISO).
• Lead root‑cause analysis and resolution of seating‑related issues during development and post‑launch.
• Support warranty investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA V5), PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter), and CAE validation.
• Strong understanding of occupant safety, ergonomics, and comfort engineering.
• Excellent communication, project management, and problem‑solving skills.

• Experience with premium or luxury seating programs.
• Familiarity with mechatronics, kinematics, and seat electronics integration.
