At the end of the apprenticeship contract the postholder will have developed the necessary skills and experience to be able to:
- Assist in undertaking general repair and maintenance tasks to public offices, public conveniences, open spaces, car parks and other buildings and areas maintained by the Council
- Help undertake minor works of a general building and/or civil engineering nature and ensure areas are made safe and secured throughout a works programme.
- Assist in providing maintenance cover and support to all Departments of the Council.

- Set and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency in all activities undertaken.

- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with Council policies and best practices.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Assist with general repairs, maintenance tasks, and minor works across Council facilities, including public buildings and car parks.
