Job Overview

We are a well-established precision engineering company supplying high-quality components to demanding sectors. We are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Inspector/CMM Programmer to join our quality team.

This is a hands-on role involving both CMM programming and inspection duties, working with complex precision components and tight tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

* Programming and operating CMMs using PC-DMIS 2013

* Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections

* Interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and tolerances

* Applying GD&T principles accurately

* Producing clear inspection reports and documentation

* Using manual inspection equipment (micrometers, verniers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.)

* Supporting production and engineering teams with quality-related issues

* Maintaining quality standards in line with company procedures and customer requirements

Skills & Experience Required

* Proven experience as a Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer in a precision engineering environment

* Strong working knowledge of PC-DMIS 2013 (programming and inspection)

* Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings

* Good understanding of GD&T

* Experience inspecting complex, tight-tolerance components

* High attention to detail and a methodical approach

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Experience in aerospace, automotive, defence or similar high-spec sectors

* Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001 / AS9100)

* Experience supporting audits or NPI activities
