Engineering Technician; Blow Moulding

We are seeking an Engineering Technician to join us in our Blow Moulding Department at Severnside Dairy. As an Engineering Technician you will provide safe front line reactive maintenance, actively identify root cause and bring equipment back into service quickly and seek cost effective improvements to assets and equipment.

• Ensure effective handover of information across shift
• Use PMS to support prioritisation and problem solving (RCFA)
• Diagnose faults and test, repair and maintain mechanical/electrical equipment
• Observe, recognise and report on machinery or component defects or symptoms indicating impending failure and provide CMMS data
• Contact OEMs and suppliers for technical support and expedite parts when not available on site
• Lead shift‑based problem solving where corrective actions aren’t clear
• Work as one team with first line response technicians
• Coaching of operators with asset care tasks
• Identify and implement improvements, identify life cycle issues and raise recommendations
• Use simple 5
  
  WHY OE techniques/RCA techniques through to 100 year fix
• Use and support departmental 5S programmes for workshops and stores

• Recognised apprenticeship
• Experience with in maintenance
• Manufacturing industry experience
• Mechanical/electrical biased
• ONC/HNC
• IOSH/NEBOSH – desirable
• Electrical qualification
• Multiskilled engineer experience
