Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• 1. Place cartons into the feed of various glue machines.
• 2. Inspect/sort cartons while machine is running.
• 3. Perform packing duties when relieving the employees within the Packer classification.
• 4. Flat pack cartons into corrugated cases or into bulk shipping containers.
• 5. Pile off cartons produced on mixed printing forms.
• 6. Perform off line quality inspection including sorting, pre-break, etc.
• 7. Clean department as needed.
• 8. Participate in any tasks necessary to allow for continuous operation of the process.
• 9. Capable of lifting in excess of 40 lbs.
• 10. Follow all Plant Safety rules and maintain a safe working environment.
• 11. Monitor the level of quality in the products being produced.
• 12. Assist Case Stacker when two high-speed gluers are running, including palletizing cases, moving loads, dumping scrap buggies, and stocking lines with corrugate.
• 13. Perform Case Stacker duties to cover absences or vacations.

Additional Responsibilities:

• 1. Collect Statistical Process Control (SPC) Data as required.
• 2. Participate in Continuous Process Improvement Activities as required.
• 3. Follow all guidelines related to SQF Guidelines.
