Position: Civil Engineering Technician - Water Resources (Summer Student)

Sudbury, ON, the
Civil Engineering Technician (Water Resources) will have a wide range of duties which focus on assisting in all aspects of Engineering project delivery.
What You’ll Do:As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will:
Prepare plans, proposals, specifications, supporting documents, reports, and permit applicationsWork in a team to develop Site Plan preparation documents including site services, grading, drainage, and stormwater managementBe entrusted with ensuring effective management of stormwater management, drainage and hydrology, wastewater conveyance, potable water distribution, earthworks, transportation, cost estimating, and other supporting areas of Water Management projectsPrepare the preliminary and final linear infrastructure, road, and street designsWork in a larger team on Subdivision development projectsBe responsible for construction inspections on various projectsWho You Are:You are willing to travel for site inspections and fieldwork on occasionYou can pivot and alter approach to accomplish desired resultsYou are not afraid to raise your hand when you need help or guidanceYou are trusted with the freedom to work independently while contributing to overall team successWhat You Should Bring:The ideal candidate will be enrolled in a relevant field of study (Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Mining Engineering, or Natural Resources). Additionally, you should have:
Knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD is considered an assetExperience in the use of Total Station and GPS Survey Equipment is considered an assetHigh motivation with results-oriented focusSuperior organizational and multi-tasking skillsStrong interpersonal and critical thinking skillsExcellent communication skills (oral and written)Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Valid Class G driver’s licenceWhat We Offer You:TULLOCH has built a passionate workforce with a strong and vibrant culture which has been the key to our success.
