Join Our Team as a Direct Delivery Coordinator at Epiroc!

The Direct Delivery Coordinator is responsible for fulfilling and completing various tasks associated with underground direct delivery to mining equipment. They will be expected to provide technical support to our customers, lead a crew and provide holiday relief for our underground delivery service when applicable.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor Direct Delivery Drivers ensuring proper communication and mine protocols are being followed including safety, maintenance and schedules
  • Ensure Direct Delivery Drivers are adhering to Epiroc Vehicle Policy and vehicles are properly maintained
  • Create a vacation schedule for Direct Delivery Drivers and ensure proper coverage where required
  • Ensure employees are cross-trained on Direct Delivery should they be required to cover shifts during vacation / sick leave.
  • Reconditioning steel – short-hole, Bolting, jumbo which consists of the following procedures: visual inspection, clean, cut, straightening, grinding, tapering and painting
  • Blade and button bit sharpening
  • Repair and service all shop equipment (in house)
  • Safeguard assets of the company
  • Establish a working relationship with fellow employees
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment both on and off Epiroc’s property
  • Monitor and track shop consumables (grinding pins, cut-off wheels, profile tools, etc.)
  • Deliver material to customers
  • Surface Direct Delivery of Epiroc Product to specific customers.
  • Occasional vacation coverage for Underground Direct Delivery
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
  • Minimum Grade 12 Diploma
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Must be able to drive/operate manual transmission vehicles
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ambition and motivation to succeed and meet Epiroc’s objectives
  • Willing to work underground when called upon
  • A proven self-starter who requires minimum supervision
  • A strong technical background
  • Prior shop experience is an asset
  • Mechanical training is an asset
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Basic computer skills, competence in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Safeguard assets of the company in general but most specifically those within your areas of responsibility
  • Establish a working relationship with fellow employees
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment both on and off our property
  • Good communication Skills
