The role of the Contracts Manager – Commercial Flooring will involve:

* Contracts Manager position overseeing various commercial flooring projects such as vinyl, laminate, wood, carpets and carpet tile

* Monitoring all site activity; organising all site workers, collating risk assessments and carrying out health and safety checks

* Organising the delivery of all materials that will be needed on site and ensuring they arrive on time

* Ensure projects are running smoothly and ensuring that project deadlines are adhered to, whilst maintaining project cost plans

* Liaising with clients and providing project reports

* Attending pre-contract meetings and progress meetings with clients

* Managing projects ranging in value from £250,000 to circa £2,000,000

The ideal applicant will be a Contracts Manager – Commercial Flooring with:

* Must be a Contracts Manager within the construction industry working for a subcontractor or main contractor

* Ideally will have sound technical knowledge of the flooring market sector vinyl, laminate, wood, carpets and carpet tile

* Dealt with project sizes £250,000+

* Ability to gain DBS / EL1 security checks

* Must have excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal

* Professional and highly organised

* Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
