Operations Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager to join a well-established and progressive fresh produce business based in East Anglia. This role is key to ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the company’s modern packing operation, maintaining the highest technical and quality standards.

The Role

Working across both technical and operational functions, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of the packhouse, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and product excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

* Supporting the daily packhouse operation to meet production and quality targets

* Ensuring accurate and efficient paperwork and documentation

* Overseeing quality control of finished goods and labelling processes

* Managing the label room and conducting regular label checks

* Maintaining traceability and the ability to complete mass balance exercises

* Operating and understanding packhouse lines and equipment

* Driving and motivating teams to achieve performance targets

* Supporting and preparing for audits to ensure compliance with technical standards

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

* Fluency in English (both written and spoken)

* Previous experience in a fresh produce packing environment

* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

* A good understanding of audits, compliance, and packhouse processes

* The ability to lead by example and support a culture of continuous improvement
