Product Development Engineer

Position: Product Development Engineer (Permanent)
Zenith People are working with our client who are a Manufacturer looking to recruit a Product Development Engineer to work within their R&D Department on a permanent basis.

The Main Purpose of the role is to develop their existing product whilst liaising with existing and new customers to ensure compliance with their ISO standards.

* Partner with senior engineers to support new business opportunities.

* Work directly with customers to understand their needs and translate them into clear technical requirements.

* Support the design and development of new products, ensuring they meet performance and durability targets.

* Visit customer sites and collaborate with teams across multiple regions.

* Coordinate product testing and validation activities.

* Analyse test results, investigate issues, and recommend improvements.

* Communicate effectively with internal teams across Quality, Sales, Production, and Testing.

* Participate in benchmarking and cost‑reduction projects.

Essential Requirements

* A degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.

* Experience in a technical engineering environment.

* Strong understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.

* CAD knowledge and the ability to interpret technical results.

* Excellent communication and presentation skills.

* Adaptability, problem‑solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.

* Confidence working in cross‑functional and international environments.

* Strong organisational and self‑management skills.

* Knowledge of HVAC systems and components – Essential
