Job Title : Senior Production Engineer

Location : Washington

Salary : Up to £54,000

• Play a crucial role in leading New Product Launches, ensuring all cost, timing and quality targets are achieved.
• Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the Senior Production Engineer will manage cross-functional coordination, oversee key engineering activities and ensure all manufacturing processes meet capability and performance requirements.
• You will plan, monitor and control project costs, liaise with customers and suppliers on technical matters, support project estimates and contribute to DFMA improvements.
• The Senior Production Engineer will also take responsibility for process capability, technical reporting, build coordination and ensuring that all equipment and tooling meet project and safety standards.
• This role includes delivering robust manufacturing processes, providing training to production teams, conducting risk assessments, supporting plant issues and leading tasks linked to NPL milestone achievements.
• You will work closely with manufacturing, production and quality to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Occasional overseas travel may be required.

• Engineering and maintenance experience within automotive or high-volume manufacturing.
• Background in assembly manufacturing (desirable).
• Strong process design skills including PFMEA and Poka-Yoke.
• Experience developing assembly, test and automation solutions.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques.
• Ability to manage cross-functional projects.
• HNC or Degree-level engineering qualification, plus an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience
