Social Worker/Senior Social Worker – Assessment Team

Grade 7/8: £37,280 – £47,181 per annum plus Essential Car User Allowance £1,239 per annum and 2% Recruitment and Retention Allowance paid monthly.

Permanent / Full time position.

• Build relationships with children, young people, families and networks.
• Undertake assessments of Children in Need and Children in Need of Protection.
• Support children and young people to make long‑lasting changes in line with relevant policies and procedures.
• Work directly with safeguarding boards and keep children and young people safe.
• Use the Signs of Safety model to support cases and innovate practice.
• Engage in reflective supervision and continuous professional development.

• Minimum one year of post‑qualifying experience.
• Completion of ASYE desirable, but not essential.
• Statutory DBS disclosure and other pre‑employment checks required.
• Relevant degree or training in social work or child protection valued.
