Continuous Improvement Engineer
IEM is seeking a motivated Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive hands-on process improvements in a lean manufacturing environment. This role is perfect for candidates passionate about Kaizen, standard work, and data-driven problem solving
, with opportunities to learn directly from senior CI leaders and grow into broader leadership roles.
What You’ll Do:
- Support Kaizen events with data collection, time studies, and sustainment
- Document standard work, instructions, and visual management tools
- Assist with root cause analysis, 5S audits, and daily tier meetings
- Capture metrics, analyze waste, and implement improvements
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain (or equivalent)
- 0–3 years’ experience or internship in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- Familiarity with lean tools (5S, PDCA, takt time, standard work)
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ambition to grow and take on future leadership opportunities
Determining compensation for this role depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
