Bilingual Security Guard; French - RCMP HQ

Commissionaires BC is looking for a bilingual security guard to work at the front desk at a high profile RCMP building in Surrey.

Please note:

This position requires the applicant to receive a RCMP level 3 clearance, which can take anywhere up to and beyond 3 months to be processed.

Only applicants who meet the mandatory requirements will be considered, due to the nature of the clearance process.

Position:
Monday to Friday 6.30am – 2.30pm Wage: $22.45/hr Must have requirements:
Have lived in Canada for at least the past 5 years and are either a Canadian citizen or permanent resident in order to obtain required clearances A valid BC Security Licence Basic First Aid certificate Be fluent in both French and English Be able to provide a high level of customer service to staff and visitors Be confident with access control and computer administrative duties Site responsibilities include:
Providing excellent customer service to staff and visitors as they enter the building Access control and data input Reception duties including answering phone calls and directing as needed Performing interior & exterior patrols CCTV monitoring Writing clear and concise daily logs and reports of all incidents Enforcing and maintaining site security procedures Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts Provide first aid in a prompt, accessible, and appropriate manner Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of site duties and safety standards What’s in it for you?
