Forklift Operator (Afternoon Shift)

Location: Surrey, BC

Shift: Monday to Friday, 3pm to 11pm.

As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in efficiently off-loading and on-loading goods from containers using a propane SDCB forklift. This position requires operating a forklift approximately 80% of the shift, ensuring quick and safe maneuvering in tight quarters. You will work with freight that varies in shape and weight, requiring experience in handling such goods. Additionally, you will use paper and digital shipping documents to ensure accurate loading and unloading.

• Operate a propane SDCB forklift for 80% of the shift.
• Handle various freight types, ensuring efficient and safe operation in tight spaces.
• Utilize paper and digital shipping documents for accurate product handling.
• Turn tight corners with precision in a busy open facility.
• Move shipments ranging from small to large sizes.

• Minimum 1 year experience operating a SDCB forklift in a 3PL or LTL environment.
• Valid forklift certification.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
• Reliable transportation.

• 2-5 years experience in LTL is preferred.
• Leadership experience is a nice-to-have.
• Experience with Truckmate software is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Proficient in English communication.

Steel-toed boots are required, and the shift runs from Monday to Friday, 3pm to 11pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Surrey, BC.

The pay range for this position is $24.75 - $25.75/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Surrey, BC.
