Key Account Manager – Haematology (Wessex, Surrey & Sussex)

GSK is looking for an exceptional Key Account Manager to drive the commercial success of our Haematology medicines. This field‑based role will focus on patient access and uptake within the specified territory, supporting both local and national engagements.
Key Responsibilities- Drive the uptake of GSK medicines to improve patient outcomes in key hospital accounts and manage both expert centres and referral hospitals.
- Build trust and relationships with all relevant stakeholders across multiple care settings to develop areas of mutual interest.
- Understand individual customers’ impact and interdependencies, using this knowledge to drive appropriate business‑focused actions that achieve the account plan.
- Demonstrate measurable progress against account plans, adhering to GSK policy, and using clear KPIs such as proposals for investment decisions, budget management, and project milestones.
- Communicate data to customers, articulating patient and system benefits to move them along the customer journey.
- Leverage medical, MSL and Health Outcomes colleagues to support queries and other customer needs, coordinating activity to deliver on account plans.
- Work with the External Expert Manager to develop and mobilise external expert endorsement and advocacy across multiple accounts.
- Map the service pathway to identify barriers and pinch points in initiating and maintaining treatment.
- Map local patient pathways to identify ways to optimise the patient experience, including adherence support and patient education.
Qualifications & Skills
- University level degree or equivalent experience.
- ABPI certification.
- Expertise and demonstrated skills in account management.
- Knowledge of NHS cancer service provision, specialised commissioning key policies and cancer drug funding mechanisms.
- Proven ability to work across boundaries with highly specialised external experts and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way.
- Prior experience working in Haematology.
- Project Management skills, including the ability to implement, monitor and review projects.
- Interpersonal, communication and influencing skills – both internal and external.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and assimilate data.
