- Current level one NMC registration
- Diploma or degree in health/nursing related studies
- Completion of the IV Package
- Possession of a mentoring course
- Continuing professional development/reflective profile
- Well-developed communication skills and time management
- Effective organisation abilities
- Experience of working within a clinical environment, providing patient care
- Ability to convey sensitive information in an empathetic manner to patients, relatives/carers and staff
- Understanding of IV therapy at home and virtual ward delivery methods
- Criminal Records Bureau clearance in accordance with Trust policy
- Awareness of personal strengths and weaknesses
- Experience with in an acute Trust
- Experience of working within a community setting
- Demonstrated involvement in link nurse or project work
- Audit or research within the clinical area
- Supervision of non-registered staff, pre-registration and post-basic students
- Physically able to perform the full range of nursing duties.
- Dexterity and accuracy in undertaking clinical skills, use of equipment and documentation.
- Competent and capable of using medical equipment.
- Continued professional development.
- Regular attendance.
- Ability to work flexibly as the service requires.
- Hold a full driving licence and have access to a car for business use.
- Evidence of moving and handling training.
