Dental Receptionist

Trallwn Dental Practice, 143 Trallwn Road, Swansea SA7 9UU

Monday – Friday, 8:30 am‑1:00 pm. 18 hours per week, part‑time.

As a Receptionist you are at the heart of your practice. You are the first point of contact for every customer, welcoming them in, understanding how they are feeling, and ensuring they have a great experience. You’ll work side by side with every team member and build trust through your efficiency, accuracy, and people skills.

• Provide an exceptional patient journey both in person and over the phone
• Manage the diaries and ensure the time is filled correctly
• Work with the team to understand the full range of NHS and private treatment options available within the practice
• Complete relevant forms for NHS and private schemes within a specified timescale
• Take payments and chase outstanding patient debt
• Liaise with dental laboratories, supply companies and other organisations

• Ability to easily build rapport and work to a high level of customer service
• Passion to build knowledge of treatment options within the dental sector and become an expert on the practice’s offerings
• Drive the success of the practice by seizing opportunities
• Follow processes and work in a structured and organised way
• Comfortable working to practice KPIs (call answer rate, data capture and rebooking)
• IT skills with the ability to learn SOE software
• Positive nature – resilient and composed under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent team player
