Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm (37.5 hrs/week)

You will be required to perform your duties On-site at our Anglesey facility Monday to Friday

Primarily office-based with occasional travel for site visits and project support

Your role in our team

As a Design Engineer, you’ll lead the technical development of bespoke and standard loading systems - from concept through to implementation. This is a hands-on design role with the opportunity to work on technically complex projects for major clients, both in the UK and globally.

You’ll use Solid Works and AutoCAD (with Drive Works if experienced) to deliver complete mechanical design solutions. You’ll also support project engineering, quoting, risk assessments, testing, and the creation of technical manuals. You’ll liaise closely with Production, Sales, and the wider Engineering team, helping to turn concepts into fully operational systems.

What you’ll be doing

Creating 2D and 3D mechanical designs and drawings

Generating costings, proposals, and technical documentation

Supporting project lifecycle from concept to delivery

Conducting Design Risk Assessments and ensuring ISO compliance

Liaising with suppliers, customers and internal teams

Participating in testing, R&D and factory data maintenance

Playing a key role in driving innovation and continuous improvement

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking someone with excellent attention to detail, a collaborative mindset and strong technical knowledge. Ideally, you’ll bring:

A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Proficiency in CAD software (Solid Works, AutoCAD)

Experience with Drive Works or similar automation tools is advantageous

Excellent communication and time management skills

Confidence working with technical drawings, reports, and manuals

Enthusiasm for working in a team that values sustainability, innovation, and global impact
