AboutThe Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Research Associate to lead the design and implementation of experimental studies investigating fairness in Human‑Robot Interaction (HRI). This role is central to our interdisciplinary efforts to understand, evaluate, and promote equitable interactions between humans and embodied AI systems. The successful candidate will develop and deploy HRI experiments using the Franka Emika Research 3 arm, Furhat social robot, and Pepper humanoid platform, contributing to cutting‑edge research at the intersection of robotics and human‑centred AI.

Welsh Language SkillsThe Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 – a little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1‑hour course.
