We are currently looking for a Counter Sales Assistant to join our team s is a hands‑on role where you’ll be at the heart of the action—helping customers, handling products, and keeping everything running smoothly.

• Deliver excellent face‑to‑face and telephone customer service.
• Assist customers with sales, enquiries, and product advice.
• Process transactions accurately for both account and cash sales.
• Keep shelves replenished and stock well presented.
• Pick and prepare orders for collection or delivery.
• Help unload supplier vehicles and check goods received.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping.
• Assist with stock control, including regular stock takes.
• Support merchandising and store layout when required.

• A positive attitude and commitment to great customer service.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience in retail, builders’ merchants, or a trade counter environment is an advantage—but not essential.

Hours of work:
An average of 40.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 7.30am – 4.30pm, plus every other Saturday morning from 8.00am until 12.00pm.
