Who are we looking for?We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to be trained and required to work at several of our client’s premises to assist us with holiday and sickness cover, with a view to being allocated a fixed shift pattern when the opportunities arise. This will be an area relief role covering multiple sites in Swansea, Port Talbot, Cardiff and Newport. You will be working various hours with a mixture of days, nights and weekends from 06:00 - 18:00 or 18:00 - 06:00.

- A valid SIA Front‑Line Licence – essential.
- Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
- Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel).
- Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle or reliable transport – desirable.
- Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 standards.
- Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular site patrols and recording these as per Corps and customer requirements.
- Ensure all visitors and contractors to the site are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.
- Record the entry and exit of deliveries whilst on site, including processing of paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
- Ensure patrols are carried out to the correct standards.
- Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out‑of‑hours security provision if applicable.
- Complete documents as required, including daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and any site‑specific reports.
- Maintain familiarity with assignment instructions, risk assessments, and other quality & safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on any changes or recommendations to improve.
- Maintain training records via Corps Colleague Portal to keep skills up to date, in particular first aid and fire marshal training meets legislative guidelines.
- Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
