The Opportunity

We’re seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a civil engineering, structural, or construction background who is passionate about safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

You’ll work closely with project teams on-site and in the office to promote a positive safety culture, ensure compliance with legislation and company policies, and drive best practice across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Support project teams in implementing and maintaining the company’s HSEQ systems.

* Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.

* Provide coaching, training, and advice to supervisors and operatives on safety procedures.

* Assist in the investigation of incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and corrective actions.

* Contribute to the preparation and review of project-specific safety plans, SWMS, and method statements.

* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies on all HSE matters.

About You

* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within civil construction or structural works.

* Relevant HSEQ qualifications (e.g. Cert IV/Diploma in Work Health & Safety or equivalent).

* Strong understanding of WHS legislation and standards applicable to the civil/structural sector.

* Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

* A practical, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
