Graduate Trainee Site Manager Role Overview

The Graduate Trainee Site Manager will support the delivery of high-voltage electrical distribution projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards. This role provides hands‑on experience in site management, project coordination, and technical operations within the power distribution sector.

• Assist the Site Manager in planning, organising, and supervising site activities for HV electrical distribution projects.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at times.
• Support the coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to meet project timelines and quality standards.
• Monitor site progress, prepare reports, and escalation issues promptly.
• Learn and apply technical knowledge of HV systems, including switch gear, transformers, and cable installations.
• Participate in site inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records for project handover.

• Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Other:
  Full UK driving licence (or equivalent), willingness to travel and work on‑site.

• Education:
  
  Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Technical Knowledge:
  Basic understanding of electrical distribution networks and HV equipment.
